Stevie W. Powell

63 year old, Stevie W. Powell, of Wheatfield, passed away July 28, 2020.

On July 11, 1957, Stevie was born to Winon and Mary Nell (Harris) Powell in Gary, Indiana. Stevie was a lifetime area resident. On September 22, 1990 he married Kelly S. Disney (who preceded him). Stevie was a self-employed welder, who enjoyed smoking hams, BBQing, car clubs, motorcycles, and especially playing with the grandkids. He was a member of the NRA.

Stevie is survived by his daughters: Nicole Marie (Ryan) Shelley, Stacey Lynn (Chris) Hardy, Katey Elizabeth Powell, 4 grandchildren: Ryleigh, Creedence, Brody, Tylar, and siblings: Brenda Powell, Mary (Donald) Stewart, and Debbie (Steve) Major.

Stevie was preceded in death by his wife: Kelly, parents: Winon & Mary Nell, sister: Vonda Sue, and brother: Stoney.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 12:00 (noon) until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. A family and friends service will take place at the funeral home at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Per Stevie’s wishes cremation will follow and interment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to:    Riley’s Children’s Hospital or  Shriner’s Children’s Hospital
