Thomas Allen

71 year old, Thomas ‘Tom’ Allen, of DeMotte, passed away July 28, 2026.

On June 21, 1955, Tom was born to John and Bonnie (Welch) Allen in Gary, Indiana. He served in the United States Marine Corp. Tom married the love of his life, Beverly Norris, on December 23, 1975, in Bloomfield, Indiana. He was a heavy machine operator for the Local 150 Operators Union. Tom was a fisherman, who’s favorite place to travel and fish was down in Alabama with his best buddy, Henry. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and was the Dog Dad.

Tom is survived by his loving wife: Beverly, children: Tonya (Mel) Perzee, Amber (Jason Ayers) Allen, Brandi (Brad) Jonkman, Tony Allen, 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, siblings: Greg (Donna) Allen, Carrie (Jr) Gross, and his beloved dog: Maggie.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother: Harry Dean Allen.

Friends are invited to a Military Honors Service for Tom at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at the DeMotte American Legion Post 440, 1011 15th Street SE, DeMotte. The Celebration of Life for Tom will be from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, at the Legion.
