Thomas "Tom" Schoonveld

65 year old, Thomas (Tom) G. Schoonveld, of DeMotte, passed away August 20, 2008.

On September 13, 1942, Tom was born to Thomas and Jeanette (nee: DeYoung) Schoonveld in Valparaiso, Indiana. On March 7, 1992 he married Joan Sekema in DeMotte, Indiana. Tom was a bricklayer with the Bricklayers Union Local #6. He also served in the United States Coast Guard.

Thomas is survived by his wife: Joan, sons: Brian & Wendy Schoonveld and Tony & Lori Schoonveld, 3 grandchildren, 1 Sister: Bonnie & Jim Acanfora,    2 brothers: Dave & Donna Schoonveld and Robert & Kathy Schoonveld.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas and Jeanette Schoonveld. Per Tom’s wishes he will be cremated.

Military graveside services for Tom will take place on September 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holland Cemetery, DeMotte, IN. Officiating will be Pastor Roger DeYoung.
