Timothy Armstrong

Listen to Obituary

77 year old, Timothy ‘Tim’ A. Armstrong, of Lowell and Wheatfield, passed away on March 20, 2026.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents: Rollin and Ella Mae (Hayden) Armstrong, and his wife: Debbie (Whitmore) Armstrong. He worked at what was Garden City Foods in Lowell, until it was bought by Costas Foods. Tim worked over 30 years at the grocery stores. If you were a kid in the 70’s and 80’s, you knew Tim, he was the carry out. He was always glad to see you, had a piece of candy in his pocket for you, a quarter for a can of pop, and whistled while he worked. In 2002 he married Debbie Whitmore and they started their lives together in Wheatfield. Shortly after, Tim started working at Family Express Bakery, where he was making square donuts. He retired from there in 2019. Tim was a people person! Always smiling, whistling. He never met a stranger. He and Debbie loved dressing up at Christmas and playing Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

He is survived by his sisters: Sandi (Bob) Schantz, Deanne (Dan) Lucas, brother: Gary Woods, nephews: Micah (Shelly) Schantz, David (Abigail) Lucas, nieces: Heidi (Dan) Hill, Becca (Chris) Tornai, Nicki (Caleb) Mauger, Jessica (David) Robbins, Katie (Josh) Dahm, Jody (Bob) Piskula, and their children and families.
