35 year old, Timothy R. W. Hanewich, of Kniman/Wheatfield/Rensselaer areas, passed away at Rush St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, Il., on October 19, 2004.  He was born March 6, 1969 to Alex and Ruth (nee:  Allyn) Hanewich.   He was a life long resident on the Kniman/Wheatfield/Rensselaer areas.  He was educated in the Kankakee Valley school system.  He was married on September 5, 1992, in DeMotte to Laura (nee: Franzen) Hanewich, who survives.  He was a welder/fitter employed with the Cives Steel Company of Wolcott.  He was a lifetime member of the Indiana Deer Farmers Association, and an avid collector of exotic animals. 

 

He is survived by his wife, Laura; one son, Alex; one daughter, Rebecca; his mother, Ruth; 4 sisters, Gloria Hicks of Kniman, Karen (John) Sytsma of DeMotte, Barbara (Nick) Tillema of Carmel, Lynn (Steve) Waymouth of Kansas; one sister-in-law Sheila Hanewich of Wheatfield; mother-in-law, Ruth Franzen of DeMotte; and brother-in-law, Roger (Lisa) Franzen of DeMotte.  He was preceded in death by one son, Joshua in 1996; his father, Alex in 1991; brothers, Thomas in 1953, and Michael in 2002; and his father-in-law, George Franzen in 1995.

 

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Sunday, October 24, 2004 from 2:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana.

 

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 25, 2004, at 10:00 A.M. at the Boersma Funeral Home, with Rev. Al Smith officiating and internment will be at the Lutheran Cemetery of Kniman.  Memorials may be made to the family.
