Timothy Hetrick

61 year old, Timothy ‘Tim’ Hetrick, of Wheatfield, passed away July 26, 2026, at home with his loving family around him.

On November 29, 1964, Tim was born to Marion and Phyllis (Stewart) Hetrick, in Valparaiso, Indiana. He worked as a handyman and maintenance man at Union Electric Steel. Tim married the love of his life, Margaret Hendry, on April 5, 2002, in Valparaiso, Indiana. He was a tinkerer and a fixer of things, who always had something in his hands. Tim enjoyed fishing and golfing in his younger days, and was always ready to watch a war movie.

Tim is survived by his loving wife: Margaret, children: Ian Mathers, Racheal (Brittney) Hetrick, Nathan (Virginia) Hetrick, 4 grandchildren, and siblings: Marvin (Cathy) Hetrick, Gregory (Vicky) Hetrick, Danny Hetrick, and Cindy (Gary) Barber.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law: Kristina Hetrick.

Per Tim’s wishes cremation will take place.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. (CST) on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove Street, Wheatfield.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House at Riley’s Children’s Hospital.
