Wallace Booten Whitaker

86 year old, Wallace Booten Whitaker, of Wheatfield, passed away August 4, 2026, at home with his family around him.

On October 29, 1939, Booten was born to Walter and Della (Brown) Whitaker, in Rensselaer, Indiana. Booten worked as a welder for the Boilermaker’s Union. He enjoyed watching tv, fishing, and hunting.

Booten is survived by his children: Randall Whitaker, Brenda Whitaker, Kevin Whitaker, Ryan (Gretchen) Whitaker, 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and siblings: Dorie Kerns, Francis (Alan) Irvine, and Larry Whitaker.

Booten was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Yvonne Whitaker, brother: Douglas Whitaker, and sisters: Alberta Howard, and Ora Davis.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August, 22 ,2026, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove Street, Wheatfield. A Memorial Service for Booten will be held at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Wheatfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Dunes Hospice.
