Walter Howes

57 year old, Walter Howes of Wheatfield, passed away December 25, 2012.

On June 13, 1955, Walter was born to Norman Jr. and Julia (nee: Bailey) Howes in Mishawaka. Walter joined the U.S. Navy and lived in San Diego, California for a period of time. He then returned to Indiana and married Michele ‘Shelly’ Stone on July 1, 1995 in Wheatfield, Indiana. He worked as a laborer for Donaldson and NIPSCO.

Walter is survived by his wife: ‘Shelly’, children: Walter (Jennifer) Howes Jr., Gina M. Howes, Wyatt J. Howes, Dalton J. Howes and 2 grandchildren, step-children: Cody A. Lovely, and Ryan W. Lovely and mother: Julia Howes, sister: Regina ‘Gina’ (Roger) Hancock-Metz, and step-brother: James (Pat) Estep.

Walter was preceded in death by his father, Norman.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Walter will take place on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Helton officiating. Interment will take place on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Wheatfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
