Walter W. Mencl Jr.

85 year old, Walter W. Mencl Jr., of Wheatfield passed away October 21, 2011 at St. Anthony’s Hospice.

On January 15, 1926, Walter was born to Walter Sr. and Lottie (nee: Kubiak) Mencl in Chicago, Illinois. Walter attended Catholic Schools. Walter was a furniture delivery truck driver for Sears furniture. Walter was also in the U.S. Navy.

Surviving are: Sandra (Buddy) Pioth, Lynn (Henry) Wolduis, Patricia Kelley, Victoria Mencl, Walter (Betty) Mencl III, Kenney Mencl, Billy Mencl, 29 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild and 1 brother: Ed Mencl.

Walter was preceded in death by his wife: Florence, and 2 sons: Raymond, Danny, and Donny.

Per Walter’s wishes he will be cremated.

Private family memorial services will take place in Cedar Lake, on October 29, 2011.
