Wayne Elwood Cornwell

48 year old, Wayne Elwood Cornwell, of Rensselaer, passed away May 31, 2021 from a motorcycle accident.

On July 18, 1972, in Kansas City, Missouri, Wayne was born to Galen ‘Woody’ and Judie (Eno) Cornwell. Wayne married the love of his life, Gloria R. Flatt, on December 13, 2014, in DeSoto, Kansas. Wayne was a truck driver, who loved to ride his motorcycle, take the girls fishing, and just spending time with the ‘kids’.

Wayne is survived by his loving family; wife: Gloria, children: Danielle Cornwell, Trey Cornwell & fiance’ Samantha Raw, Haley Foster, Gracie Foster, Madison Foster, and parents: Woody & Judie Cornwell, siblings: Zotoz (Mike) Hines, J.E. (Susan) Cornwell, Laurie Walterman, Allison (Vincent) Cornwell-Sollars.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield. Service for Wayne will take place at the funeral home, at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday evening.

The family requests Harley-Davidson attire for the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Per Wayne’s wishes cremation will follow.
