Wilhelmina "Winnie" Moes

Mrs. Wilhelmina  (Winnie) Moes, 96, of DeMotte, Indiana, passed away Friday, November 2nd, 2007 at Beverly Living Center, Merrillville.

 

Wilhelmina was born in South Holland, Illinois, on January 29, 1911, the daughter of the late Leonard and Katherine (Patz) Jabaay.

 

She worked as a sales clerk at Minas  Department Store in the Shoe Department and was involved with ladies church groups at the First Christian Reformed Church of Highland, Indiana.

 

Wilhelmina is survived by four daughters, Loretta J DeBoer, Carol G Moes, Priscilla J Mack, Patricia J Hamstra; she is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren. Wilhelmina is also survived by one sister Martha Barry, one brother, Harry Jabaay of Florida.

 

Wilhelmina was preceded by husbands John Henry Moes, and Peter Fiekema, one daughter Barbara E Lagestee, two sons Henry L Moes, Henry J. Moes; two grandchildren; five sisters: Jennie  Wiltjer, Henrietta Schepel, Ann Smith, Mary Freehauf, Johanna Van Vuren; three brothers: John Jabaay, Leonard Jabaay, & Carl Jabaay.

 

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 from 9:00 until 11:00 A.M. at Boersma Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 6, 2007, at Boersma Funeral Home, Wheatfield, IN, with Pastor Randy Bergsma officiating. Interment will be at Hope Cemetery in Highland.
