95 year old, William Boersma, of Rittman, Ohio, formerly of Francesville, Indiana, passed away on February 6, 2021 at the Apostolic Christian Home.
William ‘Bill’ was born on May 15, 1925, in DeMotte, Indiana to Raymond and Maggie (Hamstra) Boersma. Bill married the love of his life, Cordelia Kooy on March 20, 1945, in DeMotte, Indiana. Bill enjoyed farming for many years. After retiring from farming, he and Cordelia traveled and helped with Roving Volunteers in Christ.
William is survived by his family, wife: Cordelia, children: Betty (Dennis) Archer, Rich (Dorothy) Boersma, Ken Boersma (Carrie Tomko), Joe (Sharon) Boersma, Clinton (Dawn) Boersma, Leila (Paul) Spickerman, 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, and siblings: Andrew Boersma, and Hilda Gilbert.
William was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters: Rose Kamminga and Ann King.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11:00 until 1:00 p.m. (EST) on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E Grove St., Wheatifeld, Indiana.
Graveside services will follow at the Roseland Cemetery, Francesville, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Apostolic Christian Home, 10680 Steiner Rd., Rittman, Ohio 44270.
