William E Dunn

84 year old, William E. Dunn, of DeMotte, passed away December 18, 2022.

William was born in Newton County, Indiana, to Albert and Helen (Hanley) Dunn on September 10, 1938. He married the love of his life, Myrna (Anderson) Dunn on June 4, 1960, in Harvey, Illinois. William worked as a butcher/meat carver for Beckman’s IGA, and worked as at Ace Hardware as the helpful hardware man. He was a beautiful flower gardener, talented wood-carver, always our even keeled voice of reason, and beloved grandchild-wrangler. He lived quietly and gently, taught us and loved us quietly and gently, then quietly and gently, he flew away.

William is survived by his loving family: wife: Myrna, children: Kelly (Thomas) Karr, Michelle (Scott) Taylor, Amy (Clark) Anderson, Leighann (William) Buchanan, Billy (Emily) Dunn, and Robyn (Jeff) Walsworth, 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, siblings: Eugene (Kathy) Dunn, and Beverly (Gary) Klinckmann.

William was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Midge Keats.

Per William’s wishes cremation will take place, and a Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
