William Hanno Jr.

79 year old, William J. ‘Bill’ Hanno Jr., of Lake Village, passed away on February 9, 2026.

On May 7, 1946, Bill was born to William Sr. and Sara (Battles) Hanno in Chicago, Illinois. He worked as a mail carrier for USPS. Bill was a veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed playing pool and building computers. Bill was a proud member of the Roselawn American Legion Post 238.

Bill is survived by his daughters: Sara Hanno, Sam Hanno, and his granddog: Jackson.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Brenda, and sister: Mitsie Hanno.

Per Bill’s wishes cremation will take place.

Bill and his wife will be laid to rest at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life for Bill will be held at a later date.
