William 'Skin' Johnson

 

70 year old, William ‘Skin’ Johnson, of Wheatfield, passed away October 18, 2022, at Rush St. Luke in Chicago.

 

Skin was born on June 6, 1952, to Royal and Betty (Douglas) Johnson, in Indiana. He married the love of his life, Jackie Elston, on December 3, 1977, in Merrillville, Indiana. Skin was a heavy equipment operator for the Operating Engineers Union Local #150, and was a tattoo artist. He was a member of the Invaders Motorcycle Club. He loved being Santa Claus, going fishing, and taking his motorcycle for a ride.

 

Skin is survived by his wife: Jackie, children: Bill Johnson and Radar Johnson, grandchildren: Phoenix Johnson, Samara Johnson, Kash Johnson, Londyn Johnson, and Zayne Johnson, and brother, Jack (Vicki) Johnson.

 

Skin was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Bob Johnson, grandson, Christopher Moss, and daughter-in-law, Destiny Johnson.

 

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. (CST) on Friday, October 28, 2022 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove Street, Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Skin will take place at 10:00 a.m. (CST) on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the Boersma Funeral Home with Andy Boersma officiating. Interment will follow at Kankakee Township Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Rush University Medical Center.
