Wilma Eylander

84 year old, Wilma Eylander, of DeMotte, passed away October 5, 2025.

On March 2, 1941, in Inwood, Iowa, Wilma was born to Louis and Marie (Van Zanten) Kollis. She married the love of her life, Nelson John Eylander, on September 28, 1962. Wilma enjoyed being a farmer’s wife, gardening, and volunteering at church and the Christian schools.

Wilma is survived by her children: Patti (Steve) Ryken, Marvin Eylander, 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, siblings: Bill (Carol) Kollis, Ben (Gloria) Kollis, and sister-in-law: Shirley Kollis.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband: Nelson John Eylander, daughter: Sherrie Eylander, brothers: Marvin Kollis, Cornelius Kollis, and her parents.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Immanual United Reformed Church of DeMotte. Services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, with Pastor Joel Wories officiating. Interment will follow at the Holland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mid America Reformed Seminary.
