Barbara Ann Jabaay

71 year old, Barbara Ann Jabaay, of DeMotte, passed away November 23, 2019.

On November 15, 1948, Barbara was born to Nelson and Anne (Klip) Jabaay in Rensselaer, Indiana. Barb was a member of Keen Challengers, Debate Club, Band, while in school and played on an adult softball team after school. Barbara was a Certified Medical Coder for Franciscan Health who retired in 2018. Barb was an avid sports enthusiast who especially enjoyed the ‘Cubs’ and ‘Bears’.

Barbara is survived by her brother: Mark (Sheila) Jabaay, nieces & nephews: Michael Jabaay, Matthew (Regina) Jabaay, Nicole Jabaay, Sarah Jabaay (Mike Bukur), and Stephanie Huemmerich and Max Bukur.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents: Nelson & Ann, and nephew: David Jabaay.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2019 at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Barbara will take place at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Chip Murray officiating. Graveside services for Barbara will take place on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at the Holland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Jasper County Humane Society.
