Carol J. Conley, 74, of San Pierre, passed away unexpectedly in her home December 10, 2020.
Carol was born in Toledo, Ohio, to Charles and Bertha (Gang) Schramm on April 21, 1946. She moved to Indiana to work at Owen’s Corning Fiberglas where she met the love of her life, Jerry Conley. Jerry and Carol married on August 12, 1985, in Valparaiso. Carol went on to work as an accountant for Vale Park Animal Hospital in Valparaiso. Her two favorite things were her family and her animals. She loved dogs, cats, horses, etc. and never had a house without them. She was independent, stubborn, and intelligent. Those close to her remember her for being a selfless, kind friend. After retirement she enjoyed going on camping and fishing trips with her husband. She loved swimming with her grandkids and watching Lady and the Tramp. She was always willing to spend time with her family whenever they called last minute, especially if it was for a game of cards.
She is survived by her loving family: husband: Jerry, daughter: Heather (Willie) Wireman, step-sons: Jerry Conley Jr. and Joe (Dee) Conley, granddaughters: Andrea (Steve) Caputo and Autumn Wireman.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her special adopted mother: Genevieve Payne.
