Hazel D. Risner

74 year old, Hazel D. Risner, of Rensselaer, passed away March 27, 2021.

On July 27, 1946, Hazel was born to Homer and Cleda (Sallee) Caudill, in Knox, Indiana. Hazel married the love of her life, Eldon Risner, on February 12, 1966, in Jasper County, Indiana.

She loved to cook, garden, and work in her flower beds. Hazel also help run Risner’s Convenience Store. She attended the Wheatfield Pentecostal Church of God.

Hazel is survived by her loving family: husband: Eldon, granddaughters: Lindsay (Nickolas) Ledger, Taylar Risner, great-grandchildren: Jazelle Ledger and Adler Ledger, and siblings: Grace Irwin, and Nita Kay Whitfield.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents: Homer & Cleda, step-father: John Fahlgren, son: John Risner, siblings: Orville Caudill, Arlie Caudill, Gloria Wetsch, and Richard Fahlgren.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 1. 2021, at the Wheatfield Pentecostal Church of God, Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Hazel will take place at the church at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Doug Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens, Rensselaer, Indiana.

 

In lieu of flowers memorials are asked for the Wheatfield Church of God.
