Henrietta Vivian Hibbs

92 year old, Henrietta Vivian Hibbs, of Medaryville, passed away March 21, 2020 with her loving family around her.

On July 21, 1927, in Denham, Indiana, Vivian was born to Alfred and Amanda (Luebbe) Rhode. On January 31, 1952, she married the love of her life, Donald C. Hibbs, in Pulaski County, Indiana. She was a seamstress at Medaryville Garmet Factory for 54 years. Vivian loved to do word searches and being a grandmother. She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary American Legion Post #96, and Royal Neighbors.

Vivian is survived by her daughters: Rhonda (Dennis) Wantola, Dawn (Robert) Baker, Deenise (Jerald) Smith, 8 grandchildren, 7.5 great-grandchildren, and sister: Alberta Baker.

Vivian was preceded in death by her husband: Donald C. Hibbs, son: David Rhode, grandson: Eric Rhode, and sister: Genevieve Correll.

Small groups of friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. (EST) on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services will take place on Tuesday, at 11:00 (EST) at the funeral home with Pastor Doug Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at White Post Cemetery, Medaryville, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers memorials are asked for your local food pantry.
