Joseph Nimetz

35 year old, Joseph W. Nimetz, of Wheatfield, passed away June 29, 2021 as a result of an eighteen year battle from injuries sustained in a car accident.

Joseph ‘Joey’ was born on November 4, 1985 to Larry Nimetz and Debra Nimetz in Merrillville, Indiana. Joe played football for Kankakee Valley High School. He enjoyed playing driveway basketball, and riding a friend’s scooter.

Joe is survived by his loving family: mother: Debra Nimetz, father: Larry Nimetz, brothers: Adam Miller and Jake Nimetz.

Joe was preceded in death by: grandparents: Patricia & David Ford, and Mildred & John Nimetz.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana.

Services for Joe will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday evening around 8:00 p.m..

Per Joe’s wishes cremation will follow.
