Kathleen B. Thien

85 year old, Kathleen B. Thien of Merrillville, passed away October 27, 2015.

On March 24, 1930 Kathleen was born to Joseph and Ruth Oaker in Rolla Missouri. She attended Rolla schools until the 11th grade. Kathleen married Ed Thien in Flag Springs, Missouri on March 23, 1047. She worked at Ace Hardware at 73rd and Broadway.

Kathleen is survived by her children: Ed Thien, Jack (Diane) Thien, and Steve (Marilyn) Thien, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; sisters: Olline Branson & Sandra (Phil) Griffith; brother: John (June) Oaker.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Joe Oaker & Jack Oaker, and sister: Norma Nimmi.

Per Kathleen’s wishes she will be cremated and returned to Missouri.
