Maxine Heims

90 year old, Maxine Heims, of Francesville, passed away at her home on January 17, 2021 with her loving family around her.

On September 30, 1930, Maxine was born in Decoy, Knott County, Kentucky, to Kelly and Verdie (Smith) Stone. She married the love of her life, Ralph Heims, at the Medaryville Baptist Church.  She worked at the Jasper County Hospital, and St. Joseph’s College in housekeeping. She loved to cook, and garden. Maxine also loved music.

Maxine is survived by her children: Frances Wren, Delores Baker (Steve Scheffer), Kathleen (Robert) Bilotta, Jessie (Lou) Carter, Wanda (Richard) Schultz, Joy Mullins, Angel (Chip) Cable, Craig (Sandy) Heims, 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and brother: Thurman (Darlene) Stone.

Maxine is preceded in death by her husband: Ralph, parents: Kelly and Verdie, sons: Ralph Heims Jr. the third, and Rev. Tony R. Heims, 5 sisters, and 1 brother.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from  3:00 until 7:00 p.m. (CST) on Friday, January 22, 2021 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Graveside services will take place at 10:00 a.m. (CST) on Saturday, January 23, 2021, with Pastor Tom Dewlen officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Assembly of God Church of Medaryville.
