Norman Robert Groet

Norman Robert Groet of DeMotte, aged 73, passed away June 10, 2013.

Norm was born in Jasper County on October 11, 1939 to Charles and Helen (nee: Misch) Groet. On July 29, 1978, Norm married the love of his life, Sandra (nee: Jennings) Groet in DeMotte. Norm farmed his entire life. Norm loved spending time with his grandkids, ice fishing, and going to farm sales. Norm was a member of the Town of DeMotte Planning Commision.

Norm is survived by his loving wife: Sandra, his three daughters: Lisa (Jess) Denger, Melissa (Mark) Ratliff, Amy (Trent) Hartley, six grandchildren: Henry and Clark Denger, Zachary and Megan Ratliff, and Tyler and Luke Hartley. Norm is also survived by six sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday, June 13, 2013, from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at The Christian Chuch of DeMotte, 703 – 15th Street (Across from the Field of Dreams).

Per Mr. Groet’s request cremation and burial service will be private family services.
