Walter 'Roy' Sullivan

88 year old, Walter L. ‘Roy’ Sullivan, of Wheatfield, passed away August 12, 2021.

Roy was born to Walter and Edna (Elijah) Sullivan, Colfax Township, Morocco, Indiana, on October 23, 1932. He married the love of his life, Edith Jane Dionne on January 16, 1954. Roy was a member of the Local #150 Operating Engineers.  He enjoyed fishing and playing horseshoes, but he especially loved his horses. He enjoyed a variety of sports with his grandchildren, and supporting them in their endeavors.

Roy is survived by his loving family: wife: Jane, children: Debbie (Jim) Crane, Sheryl (Art) Peterson, Sandy (Steve) Garvey, Wayne Sullivan, 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and siblings: Marjorie Laffoon, Pauline Mauck, Bob Sullivan, Judy Kiger.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, 2 grandsons: Ryan & Todd Crane, and son-in-law:Michael Smiejek.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 16, 2021, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Roy will take place on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Kenny Patrick officiating. Graveside services will take place on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Rensselaer, Indiana.
